A couple of weeks back I wrote about the upcoming animated movie Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and now we have a trailer! Alright, if you grew up in the 90s, I’m not sure how you could pass this up. The 90s had a plethora of animated heroes. Batman: The Animated Series had an original run date from 1992-1995 while Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles originally ran from 1987-1996, which makes this a clash of the 90s titans! Batman and TMNT, were two TV shows that I feel a majority of kids followed.
From the trailer, we can see that the turtles head to Gotham as they are chasing Shredder, of course. They had heard of the “urban legend” of Batman, but come face-to-face with the hero! Shredder teams up with Ra’s al Ghul (which is a pretty cool team-up). In order to take down the city, Ra’s and Shredder look to release all of Batman’s rogues Gallery in order to thwart a response. Shredder looks to possibly give Joker some mutagen…yikes…of course, our heroes will have to join forces to stop them, but not before fighting each other!
Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brings back veteran voice actor Troy Baker as the voices of Batman and Joker. He sounds a bit Kevin Conroy like, and has previous voiced Joker in Batman: Arkham Origins, Bruce Wayne/Batman in Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, Lego Dimensions and the Batman: Telltale Series, Arkham Knight, and Two-Face in Batman: Arkham Knight, and many more.
