When I showed my five year old daughter the first trailer for the live-action Beauty and The Beast that’s coming out in March, she remarked that it looked kind of “scary.” The image- which I had found so cool- of the beast roaring during that nighttime confrontation in the woods, made her not so sure she wanted to see the movie. I have a feeling this new Beauty and The Beast TV spot will help change her mind.

In this new spot, subtitled “Charm Her,” we get to see a softer, funnier side of the the hairier half of Beauty and The Beast:

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

Beauty and The Beast arrives in theaters on March 17. The film boasts an impressive cast that includes Emma Watson, Luke Evans, Stanley Tucci, Audra McDonald, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad,Dan Stevens, and Emma Thompson.
