Wow. It’s been years since we reported on the Big Lebowski spinoff actually going into production. Back in 2016, we reported that star, writer, and director John Turturro would be returning to the role of Jesus Quintana, a sexual deviant with a penchant for tearing up the bowling lanes in an unnecessarily sexual fashion. But would we actually ever see it?
Well, it’s 2019, and now the film — once titled 100 Minutes With Jesus, then Going Places, and finally Jesus Rolls — finally has a trailer….except it’s not in English, as it comes courtesy of the Italian distributor Europictures.
So, what do you think of the trailer? The movie itself is a remake of the 1974 French film Going Places, which itself was an adaptation of the novel Les valseuses. Between that and the connection to The Big Lebowski, there are a lot of strings holding this thing up.
If nothing else, it looks pretty unique, and if it gets good word of mouth, I may pick it up when it hits home video. But what about you? Are you sold on this? Let us know down below!
