Oh, the irony.
One of the main reasons we never got another true Ghostbusters sequel and are instead lying in wait of a total reboot of the series is that Dan Aykroyd couldn’t convince Bill Murray to be in the sequel. But now…Murray is set to make an appearance in the reboot!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Murray is set to make a cameo in the Paul Feig-directed reboot. Unlike Aykroyd’s cameo, which had all of its details leaked to the net a few weeks back, the specifics of Murray’s appearance are being kept under wraps. Though, if it follows the precedence set by Akyroyd’s cameo, we can infer that Murray will not be reprising his role as Peter Venkman from the original Ghostbusters.
What do you think? Happy for the fan service? Disappointed because of _______? Discuss.
