If you’ve been hopping around on Twitter, chances are you may have stumbled across some new set photos and videos for the upcoming Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), thanks to the reshoots that have started up around Los Angeles. One such new video comes courtesy of Birds of Prey Movie Updates, which shows a large caged vehicle, a lot of smoke, and very little context.

But what exactly is being reshot? We know that John Wick director Chad Stahelski will be spearheading the reshoots alongside the film’s helmer Cathy Yan, but if we’re to believe the word of YouTuber Grace Randolph, there will be more than action set pieces being overhauled.

Here’s what she said on Twitter.

“Some #BirdsOfPrey stans are ca-razy. I just heard again TODAY from another source that it’s a Rogue One situation and the movie is getting a huge overhaul.

“Thank goodness we were able to warn WB of the travesty of the d*ck pics… #CrisisAverted Long live the #DCEU! ✊✊✊✊”

So, what exactly is she referring to here? She was the first to report about the main MacGuffin of the film being a diamond that housed Black Mask’s d**k pics, and our word from a separate source corroborated that whole plot. Apparently, that’s getting thrown out the window.

“It’s the whole main plot, getting the diamond that Cassandra Cain swallows – even if the ‘twist’ of that diamond containing d*ck pics isn’t revealed until the end.  Then there’s McGregor doing a camp Black Mask instead of a gay villain that’s cool and can be taken seriously.”

Okay, so it sounds like that main plot is somehow getting overhauled and they are toning down McGregor’s take on Black Mask, which she previously (and somewhat homophobically) called flamboyantly gay. 

While I’m not a huge fan of the way she prevents her information, given our own source’s thoughts that Birds of Prey was one of the worst movies they saw, if that is representative of what other people thought of the film, seeing extensive plot reshoots wouldn’t be out of the question, and certainly wouldn’t be out of character for Warner Bros.

But, until we hear something on our end, you can classify this as a rumor for now.
