Black Adam actress Sarah Shahi teases Isis!

There is good deal of Marvel info. out there as the franchise looks to take over 2021 with their big and small screen adaptions. For DC there has not been much since WW84 came out. Sure, there has recently been more info. regarding Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut, but for DC fans the rest has been few and far between. A film I am definitely looking forward to is Black Adam. Bring on The Rock for the role! Fans also know about actress Sarah Shahi (Hangman, Bad Therapy, Old School, Person of Interest) being cast in the upcoming film. (Great casting by the way!) There has been speculation as to what character she may portray. But now the Black Adam actress teases her possible role in the film which could be the character of Isis!

The Black Adam actress will not be playing some type of damsel in distress. Oh no, if you are unfamiliar with the character, definitely check out her role in the 52 series. In the comics, Adrianna Tomaz is brought to Black Adam as a gift. He takes notice of her courage and kills those who enslaved her. Tomaz begins to encourage Black Adam to take a more humane approach to his rule. He then gives her the Amulet of Isis. When she speaks the words, “I am Isis”, she gains the powers of the goddess. She and Black Adam go on to free enslaved children in hopes of finding her brother. Black Adam eventually marries her and she is responsible for changing his former destructive ways.

This is the approach I thought they would go seeing as The Rock is  such a likable individual. I thought they may try to lose the villain aspect in favor of the anti-hero route. This is a great way to do this. Bringing in Shahi as Isis is not only a good choice, but also brings another strong female character to the universe. Isis has also been present in Wonder Woman comics, which creates numerous possibilities! This leaves to the door open to Wonder Woman, Shazam, Superman, cameos and crossovers!
