While the internet has plenty of rumors abound, most end up being false. It’s kind of the nature of the business, and even if a rumor comes from a reliable source, the entertainment industry is so fast-paced that by the time a movie hits theaters, they could very well have changed enough to the point where the rumor no longer holds true. So, when we started hearing rumors around Hawkman, Stargirl, and the Justice Society of America being in Black Adam, we took it with a grain of salt.
Star Dwayne Johnson has been on board to play the antihero for about a million years now, and given how long it’s taken, I wasn’t exactly holding my breath on seeing this hit the big screen any time soon, but with a December 22, 2021 release date now in the books, we can actually start to take some rumors seriously.

So, let’s circle back to that Justice Society of America rumor. Screen Rant had a chance to speak with Johnson. First off, he gave some general details about the film.
“It’s an origin story,” Johnson said,” and that’s where we start it and we root it, and then we build out from there. Now, not to say Shazam isn’t on my radar. Of course Shazam is, but so is all of DC.”
How much of DC? “JSA,” Johnson continued. “We will introduce you to that, the world of JSA.”
This falls right in line with previous rumors. Though he doesn’t confirm those specific characters like Hawkman, it does give more credibility to That Hashtag Show’s rumor back in March, where they hinted at JSA’s involvement in the current iteration of the story.
