Anna Sewell was an English novelist who wrote the classic Black Beauty in 1877. What was originally intended for adults became a hit with children. It is considered one of the top ten novels for children still today. It is such a popular story that it has been adapted to film multiple times. The most popular version being the 1994 adaptation with Alan Cummings voicing the famous horse. Back in 2019 Disney announced they would be adapting the famous tale as one of its Disney+ originals. In what has been promised as a new direction for the company the end of 2020 is starting to show how the streaming service will provide more originals throughout the year. Today Disney+ shared the new trailer and key art for its sweeping new movie, Black Beauty, premiering Friday, November 27. Featuring the voice of Academy Award-winning actor Kate Winslet as Black Beauty and stars Mackenzie Foy, Iain Glen, Claire Forlani, and Calam Lynch.
