A new article suggests that Marvel immediate priorities post-Secret Wars will be Black Panther 3 and the X-Men reboot. The Variety article says that Blade and a Deadpool 4, are lower on that list of priorities for Marvel Studios.
The article also says the plan for X-Men is to keep costs down by casting younger less well known actors.
‘Casting will begin soon, and the field is wide open. But Marvel has indicated to reps that it is looking for younger talent, rather than A-listers, to “keep the cost down,” says another agent. (Feige also indicated he is looking to focus on the next-gen aspects of “X-Men” during a recent conversation with press.) Marvel is holding July 23, 2027, on the release calendar for an unnamed film, but sources say it won’t be filled by “X-Men.” Marvel declined comment for this story.’
‘There won’t be much to analyze for the next year. The next Marvel movie to hit theaters is “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on July 31, followed by “Doomsday” in December and “Avengers: Secret Wars” in December 2027. Amid an industrywide pullback on superheroes, the Marvel brain trust is feeling no sense of urgency on the long-gestating “Blade” reboot or even a new “Deadpool” outing, sources say. However, ideas are percolating on a Ryan Coogler-helmed “Black Panther 3,” creating excitement internally.’

We had heard rumors Blade was finally moving along and that Marvel had hoped to film by next year. However, Variety‘s sources clearly trump any rumors, as I’m sure I don’t need to tell you.
Black Panther 3 is in development. Director Ryan Coogler has even talked about vague plans he has and suggested Denzel Washington will appear in the film. However, far as we know there’s still no completed script or production greenlit. That of course, course change on a dime, and may even have changed already behind the scenes.
So, it seems like post-Secret Wars, the X-Men reboot and Black Panther 3 are moving ahead and will be Marvel’s main priorities. I think Blade may been soon behind, or even before one of these though. Deadpool 4, who knows at this point, will Deadpool show up in Secret Wars? As for what else we might see? I do think a Doctor Strange 3 must be in development even if there’s currently no definitive script for it.
