Today’s Barside Buzz is rumored plot details for Black Panther 3 that say the film heads back to Talokan and Namor returns. The information comes from The Cosmic Circus who have a good hit rate for leaks. However, as always, take with a pinch of salt, as the movie’s script may not even be finished at this point. That being said, it would probably be strange if the movie didn’t follow up on the events of Wakanda Forever (BP2).
‘We at The Cosmic Circus have been able to confirm from sources that a portion of this film will be set in the underwater nation of Talokan, which made its debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever back in 2022.’
‘With the inclusion of Talokan in the upcoming installment of the Black Panther franchise, it is expected that Tenoch Huerta will return as Namor, as well as other Talokans, including Mabel Cadena as Namora and Alex Livinalli as Attuma. We have also been informed that casting processes have already begun, with Marvel and agencies looking for both Wakandan and Talokan extras for the movie.’
There are no more details on what role the Talokan’s will have in the film. However, given they appears in Doomsday, it’s fair to say their alliance may be tested post-Secret Wars.

Black Panther 3 will of course star David Jonsson as Toussaint, aka T’Challa II. It remains to be seen whether Shuri will give up being the Panther and go back to tech genius for her nephew?
Another rumor the site puts out there is that they heard Oscar winner Angela Bassett may return for the third film, despite being killed in the previous film.
‘That is Queen Mother Ramonda, portrayed by Academy Award winner Angela Basset, who was nominated for the role for her portrayal in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. How exactly she would fit into this movie still is a mystery, given her death in the last film. However, with the Ancestral Plane, which we have been informed will play a more prominent role in this film (as opposed to the last two), we suppose anything is possible.’
The film should be casting and ramping up pre-production soon. I would expect Black Panther 3 to be filming by the middle of 2027 for that December, 2028 release date. As always, leave any thoughts on this Barside Buzz below.
