The Black Panther press junket is currently going on in Los Angeles as we speak. This means that, for the first time, members of the press had a chance to check out the latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So what were the reactions like?
Well, it may come as no surprise that Black Panther is looking to be yet another feather in Marvel’s cap. A lot of people seem to be infatuated with this new world of Wakanda created in the movie, as well as the unique style and tone that it has.
Check out some of the reactions below!
BLACK PANTHER. Incredible. Real world building with Wakanda. Great mythology building around the Black Panther. Solid character development. Top notch action. Great narrative. Wonderful villain (rare for Marvel). Killer soundtrack. Fav MCU film since Civil War.

“Black Panther” is one of Marvel’s most ambitious works and includes, in Michael B. Jordan’s Erik Killmonger, a top tier villain for Marvel or otherwise. He owns every scene he’s in and the film is everything it’s been billed as. Long may it reign. pic.twitter.com/KajWk3PNRm

#BlackPanther is exceptional – the James Bond of the MCU. You've seen nothing like this in a superhero movie – it's bold, beautiful & intense, but there's a depth & spiritualness that is unlike anything Marvel has ever done. It's 100% African & it is dope af. pic.twitter.com/Z77IjnIjf2

Black Panther looks, feels and sounds unlike any Marvel film to date. A visual feast. Wakanda is amazingly realized, the antagonist actually has an arc with emotional motivations. Marvels most political movie. So good. #BlackPanther

Black Panther is the best MCU movie ever. I was blown away from start to finish and I’m not even being biased. This was by far the best marvel movie to date. Thank you, Ryan Coogler! #BlackPanther pic.twitter.com/8Qh0hlOYAb

You guys aren’t ready for #BlackPanther. It may be the strongest film in the MCU since The Winter Soldier. Ryan Coogler has made something so firmly fresh and new within the confines of the Marvel universe. Boseman and Jordan are just phenomenal, and I need more Wakanda now. pic.twitter.com/Xj8gJGdMUU

Coogler does it again! 3 for 3 #blackpanther is thrilling, emotional and has one of the best villains in the MCU. Every character has purpose and it’s a pure ride from start to finish. Great movie.

Between these awesome reactions and the amazing early ticket sales, February is looking to be one hell of a month for Marvel Studios. Hell, if they’re lucky, they may end up treading new ground with this one. Not only does this legitimize this superhero, but it also opens up yet another franchise for the studio to exploit — and it sounds like pretty much everyone is down to see more.
The review embargo for the film is set to be lifted on February 6, 2018, so be sure to keep an eye out for reviews then. Also, keep an eye out for our upcoming one-on-one interviews with some of the creative talent involved.
