Blade And Morbius Crossover - Feige And Pascal Interested

Marvel boss Kevin Feige and Sony’s Amy Pascal responded to a theory on a Blade and Morbius crossover in a recent interview with Geeks of Color. You can catch the video below. If you cannot watch the video I have a transcript following.

“Blade and Morbius!” Said Feige. “Blade and Morbius.” repeats Pascal. “The future,” Pascal continues, “you know, you never know what’s going to happen, there’s all sorts of possibilities.”

Pretty hard to convey through text, but you get the feeling both Feige and Pascal seemed tickled and positive about the idea. It looks like Sony and Disney may be in bed together for a while yet. Frankly, as long as Marvel Studios holds the creative reins, then I’m in. When Sony does their own thing, I do kinda tend to tap out. Though, I will say, I can’t deny the trailer for Morbius has me curious and I would like to see that character team up with the likes of Blade, and perhaps other supernatural heroes coming to the MCU. Moon Knight definitely falls into that category, as does Werewolf by Night. What about Black Knight also, as it was Blade’s voice we heard in the end of Eternals.

The way I see it, this is a win/win for both Sony and Marvel. Marvel controls the stories, both companies profit from the relationship. My only wish would be for Marvel to take control of the whole thing, but that’s never going to happen. Sony are always going to be looking to make their own lower budget movies that trade on the prestige now attached to their characters.

Blade and Morbius crossover, Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige seem keen, what about you? Leave any thoughts you have below as always.
