Comic book movies are nothing new. From Superman in the 70s to the MCU films of today, people have been treated to their favorite characters on screen for decades. However, it’s rare to see a movie not based on a character from DC or Marvel. Yeah, we’ve had Spawn from Image and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles originally from Mirage (now at IDW), but the majority of CBMs have been from the big two. Those days may be behind us though as Sony Pictures is set to bring us Bloodshot from Valiant Comics.

The official Twitter account for the film released this teaser, announcing the release of the trailer on October 21st:

Vin Diesel is set to star in the Dave Wilson directed adaptation. The official synopsis of the film is:

After he and his wife are murdered, Marine Ray Garrison (played by Vin Diesel) is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – “Bloodshot.” As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both he and his beautiful wife, he breaks out of the facility hellbent on revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he thought.

Bloodshot hits theaters on February 21st, 2020.
