The next upcoming Star Wars animated series The Bad Batch was announced a couple months ago now. Since the news there hasn’t been any updates on the series besides it taking place after Revenge of The Sith and will focus on Clone Force 99. Most of the information we have learned about the series has come from the guys at Kessel Run Transmission which were the first to announce the series.
With the focus of the show being about a group of Clone Troopers trying to survive the new galaxy it is safe to say that we will see some familiar faces show up. Of course this is Star Wars so it goes to say that we will see some familiar characters. According to Jordan Maison at Cinelix the very popular Mandalorian, Bo-Katan Kryze, will show up at some point on the show.

This is very interesting news that could have an impact to the current Mandalorian season. With the recent introduction of the live-action form of Bo-Katan we have learned that she lost the Darksaber at one point and Moff Gideon has it in his possession now. Bo-Katan appearing in The Bad Batch wouldn’t have a direct impact to the Darksaber because we know that she acquires the lightsaber from Sabine Wren later in the timeline. What could possibly be explored is the state of Mandalore and how the Empire takes over the planet.
The exact date of when the show will be available hasn’t been revealed but most outlets and sources are pointing to a Spring 2021 release date. We may get some more information about the show during the upcoming Investors Day call that Disney has scheduled for the beginning of December.
