With the array of announcements today from DC Comics, including Brian Michael Bendis’ debut and his full grasp on Superman as well as the one-shot DC Nation #0, there was also the announcement of Bendis’ partnership with DC Comics and his Jinxworld titles. He said this via his interview with Forbes:
“They came and offered me a genuine partnership. They’ve offered creator-owned books before, but what they’re doing here is something brand new for them and for comics. Hopefully it’s a sign of things to come in the future.”

He went on to give details about the deal and some of the partnership:
“They’re going to take my entire library — and by mine I mean the stuff I own with my co-creators and collaborators — from Powers to Jinx, and to Scarlet and others, and we’ll be releasing it all digitally and in print through Jinxworld, through DC Comics.”
Bendis went on later to reassure his fans that they would not see any drastic changes to their favorite Jinxworld titles just because DC will be getting involved. He goes on to talk about how his new partnership with DC Comics is going to come with a huge boost in marketing as like he says, “they’re treating it like it’s their books”.
DC Comics today also made the announcement of the partnership with this statement,
THE RETURN OF JINXWORLD
Bendis’ world of gritty noir crime titles, including JINX, TORSO, POWERS, A.K.A. GOLDFISH and SCARLET among others, has found a new home at DC. The library of JINXWORLD titles like BRILLIANT, FIRE, FORTUNE & GLORY and TOTAL SELLOUT will be available digitally by this Spring. Fans can expect to see new stories from continuing series like POWERS, SCARLET and THE UNITED STATES OF MURDER INC., as well as new characters added to the Jinxworld universe throughout 2018 and beyond.
Not enough Bendis for you? Well then you’re in luck, besides the Superman titles and Jinkxworld he announced yet another project he will we working on with DC Comics.
“And number two,” Bendis continued, “separate from Jinxworld, is that I will be hosting and curating an imprint, a custom imprint not unlike what Gerard Way is doing with [DC imprint] Young Animal. It’s going to be a select series of special comics, and we’ll debut what those are later in the year. I’ll be writing some of those and curating the others, but they’ll all be under this imprint and add a very special flavor to the DC Universe. I’m happy to say it will star some of my all-time favorite DC characters in unique situations, and that I could not be more excited for.”
It will be interesting to see what those favorite character for Bendis are that he will put under this imprint. Also what the title of imprint will end up being. With the books debuting later this year, no doubt that we will have some announcements soon. DC made this announcement about this imprint today as well.
A CURATED “CUSTOM” IMPRINT
Also scheduled for 2018 is a Bendis-curated custom imprint of titles. This new custom imprint will feature some of Bendis’ all-time favorite characters in very unique and unusual situations, combined with new characters created specifically for this new imprint.
