The actor, Brian Silverman is making his directorial debut with Two Lives in Pittsburgh during Dances With Films this weekend. While wearing several hats, as a writer and actor in a story about gender identity and the kind of life that is chosen to live.
The Synopsis
“Two Lives in Pittsburgh” is an indie film about a traditional blue-collar guy (Brian Silverman, “After We Leave”) who is torn between who he has always been and who needs to be as he is confronted by his mother’s (Annie O’Donnell, “Black Sheep”) illness and his child’s (Emma Basques) exploration of gender. With the 24-hour news cycle dominated by headlines involving culture wars and gender issues, “Two Lives in Pittsburgh” is a catalyst for thoughtful, compassionate, and intelligent dialogue – a film that meets opposing sides in the middle.
The native from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Brian Silverman is an actor, writer and director. Silverman has been seen in the Fox action series 24, Showtime’s Ray Donovan, CBS S.W.A.T. and After We Leave among other projects. Last year he was seen in NCIS: Los Angeles.
