Bridgerton Season 2 Shut Down Again Due To Covid

Regé-Jean Page - Bridgerton

I know I’ve said in a previous article that I wish Hollywood would do more historical projects outside of Europe’s history with the upper class. We are over-saturated with them, but Bridgerton kicks ass. I didn’t think I would like a juicy gossip show this much. Those types of shows aren’t really what I go for, but I really love Bridgerton. This show was addictive and when I finished watching season 1, I couldn’t wait to see season 2. Sadly, the Netflix series has been shut down due to Covid-19.

I Wonder When Bridgerton Will Start Filming Again

The series stopped filming on Thursday for 24 hours when a crew member had tested positive. They picked back up afterward, but now the series will be shelved indefinitely. This will be the second time in a week that a cast or crew member has tested positive for the virus. For the second individual, Netflix would not share which has caught Covid-19, but I hope Bridgerton Season 2 can resume soon and that those who tested positive recover.

Bridgerton was released on Netflix on Christmas in 2020. The series was based on a romance novel series by Julia Quinn that is set in the Regency era. The first season of the series was focused on Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor. Season 2 is set to focus on Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey.
