Well, Happy Pride Month.
Universal Pictures released a gay romantic comedy trailer Bros that headlines Billy Eichner (Billy on the Street, 2019’s The Lion King) in the starring role.
Here is the official synopsis:
This fall, Universal Pictures proudly presents the first romantic comedy from a major studio about two gay men, maybe, possibly, probably, stumbling towards love. Maybe. They’re both very busy.
From the ferocious comic mind of Billy Eichner and the hitmaking brilliance of filmmakers Nicholas Stoller (The Neighbors films, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Judd Apatow (The King of Staten Island, Trainwreck), comes Bros, a smart, swoony, and heartfelt comedy about finding sex, love and romance amidst the madness.

Although there were gay romantic comedies in the past, the major known studios steered away from these films by leaving them in the independent arena. Attaching Judd Apatow to this film certainly generates interest, particularly from a major studio. Hopefully, the film garners success at the box office to open the door for more films like this on the big screen.
Bros is in theaters on September 30.
