Corporation culture is one big rat race. To get ahead and seek those company promotions, workers must prove to be harder and more dedicated employees than the others in the office.

In the short film B!tch I’m Early, director Jesse “Jeskid” Cowell crafted a humorous outlook of two women racing each other to get ahead in the company.

The cast includes Michelle Batista, Jesenia, Hilary Walker, Cary Hite, Marissa Parness, Joe Strong, Guy Rader, and Shari Ellis. Jesse “Jeskid” Cowell wrote and directed the short film.

In the corporate world, being FIRST is all that matters. Two women, a generation apart, find themselves locked in an absurd battle for a coveted promotion. Desperate to outshine each other, the ladies escalate their rivalry from petty arguments to an all-out race to the office. B!tch I’m Early delivers a masterclass in comedic timing and mounting tension with an eclectic, diverse cast to back it up. This six-minute gem manages to pack the punch of a full feature, hilariously skewering corporate culture while reminding us that in the rat race, we’re all running in circles.

Jesse “Jeskid” Cowell has been a filmmaker for the past 30 years. He wrote and directed two independent features online and was one of the first vloggers on the Internet before YouTube. He won a Webby Award and garnered over a billion views for his work.

B!tch I’m Early is showcased at the Dances with Films New York 2024 at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in the shorts block 9.
