Bungo Stray Dogs Eighth Anniversary Event Announced By Kadokawa
Bungo Stray Dogs is about to celebrate its eighth anniversary! Adapted from the action manga series of the same name, it first aired on April 7, 2016. To celebrate, Kadokawa has announced the “Eighth Anniversary Eight Major Projects.”

• Eighth Anniversary Commemorative Memoirs with Animate International [Event period: April 7th (Sun.), 2024 – April 6th (Sun.), 2025]
• RED゜ TOKYO TOWER Collaboration [Event period: April 19th (Fri.), 2024 – May 26th (Sun.), 2024]
• Tobu Zoo Collaboration [Event period: July 13th (Sat.), 2024 onwards]
• First Avenue Tokyo Station B1 Event Space Ichiban Plaza & Hotel New Otani Collaboration [Event period: August 9th (Fri.), 2024 onwards]

The “Eight Major Projects” will start from the “Eighth Anniversary Commemorative Memoirs with Animate International.” During the anniversary period, former seasonal illustrations will be reprinted and sold in physical and online Animate stores with the Eighth Anniversary Logo. The illustrations will be including Halloween and New Year’s drawings, as well as the first illustration of the Gakuen Bungo Stray Dogs series, a now customary April Fool’s project. Supplies will, of course, be for a limited time.
So What Is Bungo Stray Dogs Anyways?
According to Kadokawa, Bungo Stray Dogs is:
A superpower battle action manga series featuring characters named after famous literary figures such as Atsushi Nakajima, Osamu Dazai, and Ryunosuke Akutagawa, Bungo Stray Dogs was first published in “Young Ace” in 2012 by Kafka Asagiri and Harukawa 35, and as of December 2022, over 12 million copies of the related books in this series have been sold.
