According to the latest Captain America: New World Order rumors, Sam is building a new Avengers team to take on President Ross (Harrison Ford). This one comes from regular social media leaker Can We Get Some Toast. You can see the post below. Ultimately though, this would match a few other details and rumors that have appeared about the upcoming movie.

What is not clear, is who could be on that new team of Avengers. So far the only major detail that’s been rumored heavily is that Senator Ross is now President Ross, and Samuel Sterns, aka The Leader is involved. If this were the comics you’d assume some gamma infused antics, but that’s hard to say for sure in a Captain America movie. That feels too out there for a sequel to more grounded Captain America we’ve had in his solo movies.
Still, I guess maybe the MCU has evolved beyond that more grounded take in the post-Endgame multiversal MCU we have now? I’m not sure, and so far there are no rumors about whom Sam may be recruited for this new team. With Bucky being front and center in Thunderbolts, one wonders if he might be absent this time around. That could force Sam to seek out new, or old allies?
