In just over 3 months from now Captain Marvel will hit theaters as the first MCU movie of 2019. So far we have had numerous posters and that kick-ass recent trailer to tide us over. Now we have learned that some new footage will be shown by Marvel/Disney during the NCAA championship final on January 7th on ESPN. Check out the social media post below from Marvelous Realm.

We would have to assume with the announcement ahead of time that this is different in some way from the trailer for Captain Marvel. Though, exactly what it will entail and how lengthy it will be, we just don’t know.

Of course, ESPN would love it if all Marvel fans tune into the game waiting to see the new footage, that’s why they are advertising it. Whether it is officially released online afterward or if someone uploads it anyway, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be online within 24 hours (our money is on a near-simultaneous release online).
At this point I genuinely don’t think I want to see any more footage from the movie, I felt like Aquaman was completely oversaturated prior to release and I don’t want to know that much about Captain Marvel before I see it. But I can also see that they need to once again remind audiences of just when this movies is hitting screens to get bums in seats.
