Casimir Nozkowski spoke about his film directorial debut as a writer and director for the film The Outside Story.
The Synopsis
Brian Tyree Henry (“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”) takes on his first big screen lead role as Charles Young, a broken-hearted video editor. Perceiving a betrayal of trust as a sign his girlfriend Isha (Sonequa Martin-Green, “Star-Trek: Discovery”) is leaving him, Charles preemptively blows up his relationship and sequesters himself at home. The fates do not comply and Charles locks himself out of his apartment. Stumbling into a transformational, timely odyssey exploring his community, Charles meets a dynamic ensemble of previously avoided neighbors (including Sunita Mani “Glow”, Olivia Edward “Better Things” and Asia Kate Dillon “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum”) who show him everyone’s got issues and it never helps to keep them all locked up.

Casimir Nozkowski has put together over 100 short films before making The Outside Story. Several of his projects have premiered in events like San Diego Comic Con, Woodstock, Tribeca and others. Nozkowski has received recognition from The Tonight Show and New York Times. Some of his short films is Blood Brothers, Childhool Sale and Next Life.
