Quantum Leap

NBC’s original ‘Quantum Leap’ ran from 1989 to 1993 where former scientist Sam Beckett found himself trapped in time due to an experiment gone wrong. Now decades later in a sequel series, goes by the same title on the network.

In this ‘Quantum Leap’ a new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man that created it.

But when Ben Song one night decides to leap without telling anyone, it will be up to his team to help him get to his destination and solve the mystery behind why he did what he did and help him regain his memories.

This past weekend was the annual pop culture convention, WonderCon in Anaheim, California. LRM Online‘s Manny Gomez was able to speak with some of the cast and the executive producers of ‘Quantum Leap’. This included stars Raymond Lee, Caitlin Bassett, Mason Alexander Park, and Ernie Hudson. As well as executive producers Dean Georgaris and Deborah Pratt. Pratt also starred in the original series.

In our conversations, we chatted about each of their characters, and one central theme that was brought up several times was their happiness in having a diverse cast. You can check out all three interviews below!

NBC’s ‘Quantum Leap’ Synopsis

It’s been 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now a new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.

The cast includes Raymond Lee, Caitlin Bassett, Ernie Hudson, Mason Alexander Park, and Nanrisa Lee. Martin Gero serves as executive producer along with Dean Georgaris, Don Bellisario, Deborah Pratt, Chris Grismer, Steven Lilien, and Bryan Wynbrandt.

Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, will produce in association with I Have an Idea! Entertainment, Belisarius Productions, and Quinn’s House Productions.
