Chadwick Boseman Dies At 43 After A Four Year Battle With Cancer

Chadwick Boseman

We sometimes forget how delicate life can be. We see some of our favorite actors on screen portraying larger than life characters that at times seem timeless. Especially when they take on the role of superheroes that fight to save the universe. But at the end of the credits, these silver screen superheroes are actors and actresses and are just as fragile as the rest of us.

Chadwick Boseman

Such is the case for Chadwick Boseman, who we are sad to report has died tonight (Friday), after a four year battle with colon cancer. He was 43 years old. His family released a statement via Twitter making the tragic announcement and thanking everyone for their love and support. In part, it read, “It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther”. You can read the rest of it below.

Recently he was very well known for his role in the MCU, where he brought to life the African king and superhero, Black Panther. Many MCU fans rallied around this character as it brought to life a Black American superhero into the Avengers. Along with that he also portrayed real-life icons, Jackie Robinson and James Brown.

He is survived by his wife and family. One amazing fact that was included in the statement was the fact that he did a lot of work during and between surgeries and chemotherapy. This is a true statement about how much he loved his craft. He may be physically gone, but his impact in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as many other films, will continue to inspire us for decades to come.

We here at LRMOnline send our thoughts and prayers to the Boseman family in this difficult time.
