At a recent convention appearance Marvel star Charlie Cox tells the crowd that Foggy really is dead in Daredevil: Born Again. However, can we really believe him? You can check the social media post below for a fan video of Cox’s response when asked about rumors Foggy may still be alive.
Cox answered to the crowd,
“But Daredevil heard his heart stop… He’s dead.”
The crowd reacted like they didn’t believe him, so Cox added,
“I’m sorry, I’m very sad,” before concluding, “I love that theory, but it’s wrong.”

Foggy of course died at the hands of villain Bullseye, sent by Vanessa Fisk at the start of Born Again Season 1.
Thing is, if Foggy really was dead and gone for good, then surely Cox would be less definitive in his answer? You know what I mean? I would expect him to say, ‘well, you’ll just have to wait and see’, if he was really dead. The fact he is so definitive and smiling the whole way through, makes me think he’s not being completely truthful. I mean as far as Matt Murdock knows, yes his heart stopped and he’s dead. Though since Foggy knows about Matt’s abilities, it makes sense he’d take that into account if he faked his death, which is the fan theory.
Still, if Foggy is really dead, I guess fans can’t blame Cox for giving them hope?
