The villains have more fun. That’s the roles up-and-coming actor Chase Liefeld managed to play on screen.

This month, Liefeld stars in trending streaming projects with the Disney+ film Chang Can Dunk and the Paramount+ series Wolf Pack, both available today to stream.

For the heartwarming film, Chang Can Dunk, Liefeld, plays the adversary and basketball court bully Matt to Bloom Li’s Chang. His portrayal of an unlikable sports athlete eggs an average Asian high school student to dunk a basketball but instead creates the next student-athlete on the court.

The Wolf Pack series stars an ensemble led by Sara Michelle Gellar and Rodrigo Santoro as they investigate the presence of werewolves and the mysterious high student of Baron (played by Liefeld). The Baron character is relatively crueler and more vicious than the Disney channel film.

Here is the synopsis for the Disney+ film:

Chang Can Dunk follows Chang, a 16-year-old, Asian American high school student in the marching band, who bets the school basketball star that he can dunk by Homecoming. The bet leads the 5’8” Chang on a quest to find the hops he needs to dunk in order to impress his crush, Kristy, and finally gain the attention and respect of his high school peers. But before he can rise up and truly throw one down, he’ll have to reexamine everything he knows about himself, his friendships and his family.

Here is the synopsis of the Paramount+ series:

Based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, Wolf Pack follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and drives it to attack a highway traffic jam beneath the burning hills. Wounded in the chaos, the boy and girl are inexplicably drawn to each other and to two other teenagers who were adopted sixteen years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire. As the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them—the bite and blood of a werewolf.

Chang Can Dunk is currently streaming on Disney+. All eight episodes of Wolf Pack are now streaming on Paramount+.
