So by this point, you’ve likely all checked out the new trailer for Avengers: Infinity War. However, the upcoming Marvel flick is making movie history in a way you may not have expected.
While other films have been shot using IMAX cameras, Avengers: Infinity War is the first Hollywood film to be shot ENTIRELY with these cameras. So, if you see the film in IMAX theaters, you’ll be able to see the film in the special expanded IMAX 1.9:1 aspect ratio. The result? While it’s an aspect ratio closer to TV, it does offer up to 26 percent more image than in standard theaters, which can hopefully result in a more wholly immersive experience.
