Check Out The New Fantastic Four: First Steps TV Spot

The Fantastic Four: First Steps director Matt Shakman comments on the Jonathan Hickman influences that inspired him for the film.

Check out the latest TV spot for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, released in theatres from July 25. There’s not what I would call new footage as such, but always worth noting one or two new details in these spots. Check it out below courtesy of @F4Updates.

I do love the campy 60’s aesthetic in this, though I am hoping the movies takes a darker turn part way through once the Galactus Threat materializes. That’s what always worked for me as a kid reading FF comic books. At times it could be campy, and a little cheesy, but could then go full dark sci-fi in a heartbeat.

Additionally we have a new still from the film courtesy of Fandango. Check it out,

This is definitely not their first space trip (backstory only) when they got their powers, but instead their trip later in the movie. We think Sue is pregnant on this trip and may even give birth to Franklin in space. You can see the FF suits worn by Johnny and Reed in the shot above so it makes sense this is later in the film.

It’s safe to say this is my most anticipated movie of 2025. Whether it’s be my favourite movie of 2025 remains to be seen. However, both this and Superman are likely the only ones getting me into theatres this Summer.

How are you feeling so far about The Fantastic Four: First Steps? What do you think of the new Fantastic Four: First Steps TV spot, or the new image above? Thoughts below as always.
