Audiences have been itching to get our first look at Frank Castle’s next foray into the good old-fashioned ultra-violence. That first season of The Punisher seemed to whet a lot of appetites — even it was a bit mixed — but it did well enough to warrant another season, and this new season looks to pick things up after the events of the first season.

That first season unraveled the conspiracy surrounding Frank Castle’s family, and this time around, it looks like he’ll be fighting more on behalf of someone else. In this case, it’s a woman in a bar who also lost everyone she loved to a group of men. But that ain’t all we’ll be dealing with this time around, as was heavily implied in the advertising so far.

Billy Russo is back in the saddle again following the mangling of his face, leading him to loathe the Punisher. He is on his own path of revenge, and damn does it look to be a satisfying ride. the story seems pretty straightforward. It’s primal. It’s hard-hitting. It’s everything I want to see in a show like this. I’m in.

What a way for The Punisher to end its things, right? That, of course, is assuming Marvel and Netflix will do the predictable thing and cancel the show the week after it drops.
