Check Out These ‘Suicide Squad’ and ‘Dawn of the Justice League’ Teases!

DC and Warner Bros may be late to the game on the whole shared universe front, but man are they going all-in on this one. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is set to come out in a couple months, with “Suicide Squad” only a couple months after, and “Wonder Woman” is already deep into production. In other words, if “Batman v Superman” begins a series of failures, then Warner Bros is primed to lose all kinds of money.

Needless to say, they do NOT want that to happen, and as such, it’s in their best interest to promote the hell out of these films. What better way to do that than to show them off on the CW, the network that airs two (soon to be three) of their successful and beloved shows?

On January 19 at 9:30pm, the CW will be airing a special called “DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League.” Take a look at a promo for the special below!

As was mentioned in the video, this special will serve as a primer for anyone interesting in getting into the upcoming DC Cinematic Universe. They will cover “Batman v Superman,” “Suicide Squad,” and “Wonder Woman.” But, of course, the network won’t just be appealing to an audience that has no idea what the Justice League is. In addition to all this, the special will also contain the world premiere of the first official “Suicide Squad” trailer (not counting the Comic Con First Look that we saw last year).

So if the premiere of three DC-based TV shows wasn’t enough to get you to tune into the CW, perhaps this will convince you.

It may have been a long time coming, but it seems like WB is finally taking things seriously with the whole shared universes thing. It’s been nearly eight years since “Iron Man” kicked off the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and while “The Dark Knight Trilogy” was admirable in what it accomplished, it seemed like DC’s been playing second fiddle to Marvel on the big screen ever since. As surreal as it may seem, we’re so incredibly close to getting what we’ve asked for for decades: a world where Batman and Superman can coexist. Needless to say, I’m beyond thrilled to live in the age we do, and I’m happy to see WB taking it so seriously.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” hits theaters on March 25, 2016, “Suicide Squad” hits theaters on August 5, 2016, and finally “Wonder Woman” hits theaters on June 10, 2017.

Which of the three are you looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comments down below!
