Child’s Play Promotional Posters Continue To Troll Toy Story 4 As Another Toy Falls

Last week we had talked about how Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 4 has the opportunity to set a new opening record for an animated film, possibly passing Disney/Pixar’s Incredibles 2 which earned $182.6 million. With those kind of numbers what kind of film would be crazy enough to open on the same weekend? Well there is one, Orion Pictures’ Child’s Play.

The re-imagined horror classic film starring the infamous possessed killer doll Chucky, will in fact be released on the same weekend as the fourth installment of Toy Story 4. This is something that Child’s Play marketing team have taken full advantage of. In the last few weeks we have seen different promotional posters released by the studios, you may notice that they are cruel parodies of the Toy Story 4 character posters.

The first one featured what looks like Woody’s hat and his arm with fluff coming out of it with Chucky walking away with a bloody shoe. The second one featured the Chucky’s arm buring the back half of Slinky over a fire. You can check out those previous posters down below. Today a third poster has been added via their Twitter account, this one features a character that may no longer be able to travel to infinity and beyond. Check it out!

As you can see, Chucky has blasted our favorite galactic toy with what looks like a ray gun and is now the third Toy Story victim that he has taken out. Who else do you think will meet their demise? Rex? Mr. or Mrs. Potato Head? Let us know in the comment section below!
