Hate the happy-go-lucky nature of those Archie comics and all of its spin-offs? If so, you may want to check out their recent batch of comics, or even the CW series Riverdale, which pretty much as everyone’s favorite wholesome gang killing and having sex with one another over the course of 45 minutes every episode. It was an unexpected direction for that particular IP, but if there’s one series that could use that dark overhaul in a more fitting way, it’s Sabrina.

Netflix is currently in the process of adapting the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comic, which itself is a reimagining of the character Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The official Twitter account has now given us our first taste of the show with reveals of Sabrina herself and main squeeze Harvey. Check it below:

Unsurprisingly, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina looks to be retaining that glossy, colorful, too-perfect aesthetic of Riverdale, as indicated by their clothes and that truck. Pictured are stars Kiernan Shipka and Ross Lynch, who play Sabrina and Ross, respectively.

Sabrina is an interesting project in that it started out as a show for The CW (a show that would cross over with Riverdale) before switching over to Netflix. One can’t help but wonder if they’ll be taking full advantage of the platform to go full dark…one can dream.
