Like so many other kids growing up, I loved cartoons. Some of the cartoons I would watch were Inspector Gadget, X-Men, Spider-Man, and Animaniacs. I was mostly an indoor kid so TV was my life and one cartoon near and dear to my heart was Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers. I loved the adventures the Rangers would go on and I loved Gadget. She was a character that was tough and smart, but most importantly, she was just a member of the team. Gadget wasn’t treated differently for being a girl and I liked that. This show was special so when I saw there was a video for the remake, Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life, I was unsure of how I would feel about it.
Remaking Chip ‘n Dale
Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life is… different. I think the animation style is cute, but I’ll miss Zipper, Gadget, and Monty if they don’t add them to the show. It looks very cute but doesn’t look like the Rescue Rangers and maybe that’s okay. In my opinion, if Chip ‘n Dale were going to get a remake, it would need to be very different and would need to be its own thing. Not every show must follow the same path as Ducktales. Ducktales did an amazing job rebooting the original show and I’m sad that it got canceled. Maybe Park Life will be great. Different is not scary, it’s just different. I’ve watched the opening title video a few times and it’s growing on me.
On What’s on Disney Plus, they describe the show as:
Comprised of three seven-minute stories, each episode follows two tiny troublemakers, Chip and Dale, trying to live the good life in a big city park while having giant-sized, sky-high adventures. Nervous worrier Chip and laid-back dreamer Dale make the perfect odd couple: they’re best buddies and they drive each other nuts. In their perpetual pursuit of acorns, these ultimate underdogs are joined by Pluto, Butch, and other iconic Disney characters as they face down bullies great and small.

We won’t have to wait long because Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life will be streaming on Disney+ on July 28. The cartoon will have 12 episodes and the episodes will come out weekly.
