Choose Or Die Trailer: Playing Most Retro Video Games Is Torture Enough

When you’d rather play Jumanji. Choose or Die is an even worse game to get trapped into, but the 80s! We love retro shit and we love the 80s. See, that’s how they get you. The 90s just doesn’t get the same level of love so it had to be the previous decade to suck you into it’s trap. Netflix has released the Choose or Die official trailer and the horror I’ve been craving lately. This movie has hopped on the nostalgia train, but I’m not mad at it. It appears to be only a taste and not oversaturated like buttercream frosting on a store-bought cake. More on that later.

His Tongue? Her Ears? CHOOSE OR DIE!

The trailer jumps right in and a man has to choose between two horrible choices or die. The man tries to choose but can’t, so he… well, dies. Later in the trailer, it shows the beginning of the video game and like most games, it’s starts off pretty light. Kayla has to choose coffee or cake (told you I’d come back to it). Then, the waitress intentionally drops a glass and the game asks you if she should break more or clean up. I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass is an amazing song! She should keep smashing glasses, but Kayla picks the lame answer or so I thought. The waitress drops to her knees and eats the shards! That took a huge freaking leap!

After firing up a lost 80s survival horror game, a young coder unleashes a hidden curse that tears reality apart, forcing her to make terrifying decisions and face deadly consequences.

Tempted by a chance to win unclaimed prize money, two friends reboot a mysterious 1980s video game and step into a surreal world of next-level terror.

I’ve been hitting anime pretty heavy lately so I’ve been missing horror and Choose or Die looks really exciting. Starring in the film is Asa Butterfield as Isaac and Iola Evans as Kayla. I love Butterfield’s character, Otis in Sex Education and am excited to see season 4. Evans starred in one episode of Carnival Row as Ryma and, having only seen her in that, I’m looking forward to seeing what else she can do. Check out the movie on Netflix on April 15.

What did you think of the Choose or Die official trailer? What was your favorite gory scene? I loved the needles. I can’t wait to see it.
