Listen up Lucasfilm, Chris Evans wants a Star Wars role. So make sure you pass that along to everyone in casting please? Thanks. Yes, the retired Captain America himself, major star of the MCU Chris Evans really wants to be in Star Wars. Evans recently chatted with MTV News, who pointed out Evans had never done a musical, nor Star Wars, and Evans wants both.
“Yeah, why is there no Star Wars? God, would I love to be in Star Wars, God! I mean, I would do anything, if I was just a Stormtrooper, I’d be thrilled.”
Later on Evans said
“Yeah, I’ll take a Wookie though. That’s fine. Just put me in. I’ll do it.”

I mean, why are we even having to write about this. Disney should have seen this and immediately picked up the phone to say ‘you’re in, just let us work out where?’ I am definitely hoping that Taika Waititi see’s this and starts considering Evans for some of the roles in his upcoming push into a new cinematic story. I’d definitely rather have Evans play someone new in the future of Star Wars as opposed to turning up as a cameo in The Mandalorian Season 10. I mean, I’ll take it if it’s done well, but Waititi and Feige, take note.

Personally I’d love to see Evans take on a villainous role in Star Wars, something like a new Vader type threat in a different era would be great. Play the hero boy scout in the MCU and then play the ultimate villain in Star Wars. Who wouldn’t want to see that? Am I right?
What do you think? Chris Evans wants a Star Wars role. Should Lucasfilm be looking seriously at Evans for a big role in an upcoming movie, or not?
