Chris Hemsworth Could Make $15M To $20M Per Movie For Next Phase Of Marvel Films [ENDGAME SPOILERS]

Disclaimer: This post contains minor spoilers for Avengers: Endgame.

Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is an interesting character. Unlike many of the other characters we’ve seen in this world, by the time the most recent movies hit, we weren’t really waiting to see his character arc wrap up. Sure, he’s been around since almost the very beginning of this franchise, but it’s only recently that Marvel Studios has seemingly zeroed in on how the character should actually be treated — with less Shakespeare and more comedy.

As such, it’s no surprise that Thor’s universe seems to be wide open. He’s on board with the Guardians of the Galaxy and ready to join the weirder and more cosmic side of things — pretty much what we saw from him in Thor: Ragnarok. Of course, if Marvel Studios wants to do that, they’ll NEED to bring back Chris Hemsworth, which means he’ll be up for renegotiating his contract.

According to THR, the actor renegotiated in 2017 for Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, and as a result, for the next phase of films, we may be looking at anywhere from $15 million to $20 million per movie. That means that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be set to have quite the extensive budget, as its cast just keeps getting more and more famous. I also wouldn’t be surprised if after that movie we get another standalone Thor film — and perhaps even one to actually close out his story.

All I can say is good for Hemsworth. After seemingly being the underdog in this franchise of movies, fans now finally seem to be embracing him.
