The actor Chris Hemsworth is set to take on the role of legendary WWE star, Hulk Hogan. Imagine being the actor that plays Marvel’s God of Thunder, and then have to intensify your exercise regimen in order to play your next role.
Hemsworth recently spoke with TotalFilm and talked about how he is going to bulk up his physique like never before. You can check out what he had to say below.
“This movie is going to be a really fun project. As you can imagine, the preparation for the role will be insanely physical. I will have to put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor. There is the accent as well as the physicality and the attitude.”

Hulk Hogan was really the first big mainstream champion. Sure pro-wrestling had been around for decades but it wasn’t nearly on the level of popularity is seen in the 80s and beyond. It became a favorite of many kinds who grew up during that time, myself included. Cartoons, action figures, and backyard wrestling rings took over the country.
Hemsworth will likely play a fine Hulkster. I don’t think any of us are worried about matching the build and appearance, however, as Hemsworth mentioned above capturing the enthusiasm and perhaps even more importantly, nailing down the voice will be crucial in my opinion.
I’ve included a video for Mr. Hemsworth to study from, you can check it out down below.
