Christopher Nolan. Filmmaker extraordinaire. This is a guy in Hollywood who can get s**t done. In a business where money is mostly made off the backs of established pieces of intellectual properties, he is one of the few who can make virtually anything he wants to. With his 2010 movie Inception, he really solidified his position in Hollywood as a director who could be trusted with $150 million and original idea.
Fast-forward today, and in spite of the mixed reception of his last two films (though both are still relatively acclaimed by critics), and he is still a filmmaker at the top of his game. Audiences have been wondering what his next project is. We’ve even reported on a false rumor about what the movie itself would be like. But now, we have our first real details, courtesy of THR.
According to the outlet, Nolan’s next movie is called Tenet. There are little to no details about the plot, but it’s being described as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.” As we already knew, the movie stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, and Elizabeth Debicki, but they won’t be alone. Joining them are Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh, Michael Caine (shocker!), Dimple Kapadia, and Clemence Poesy, the latter of whom played Fleur Delacour in the Harry Potter movies.
Sounds like a solid cast and a genre Nolan was made to direct. I’m on board. But what about you? What do you think the movie will be about? Let us know your best guesses down below!
