Have you ever caught yourself wondering, hey, where’s Clive Owen been? There was a time in the early 2000s when you couldn’t escape him. The man was a powerhouse, popping up in one hard-hitting, thought-provoking movie after another. Remember The Bourne Identity? Back when the franchise was more about thrilling grounded espionage and less about rollercoaster style shaky cam? He nailed it. Then there’s Children of Men, still arguably one of the best dystopian sci-fi movies ever made.
And let’s not forget Shoot ‘Em Up, where Owen took a wild gamble as a carrot-loving leading man. Risky? Absolutely. But you can’t say it wasn’t a ride. So here’s the big question, is Clive Owen making a comeback to form, or are we just seeing new sides of him, like in Valerian? Oh, and side note, Valerian is a great sci-fi flick. Fight me. While we’re at it, Inside Man? Criminally underrated.
All of that brings us to his latest project, Cleaner. Could this be another standout for Clive Owen? Check out the synopsis and trailer below, and let’s see what he’s bringing to the table this time.
