In a recent interview Colin Farrell (The Penguin) reiterates that his part in The Batman Part II is only a small one. Farrell of course made his debut as Oz, aka, Penguin in The Batman. Whilst Oz was secondary villain in the movie to The Riddler, the character then spawned his own series The Penguin. You can catch my review of that series in the link below, but if you don’t have time, it was amazing.
We knew Farrell was returning in Part II but he did say previously there wasn’t a big role for him in this one. Now, speaking with Collider, Farrell says he’s excited to visit the set, but he will only be there a few weeks. some context, the interviewer said they’d love an invite to that set.
“I don’t have the power to charge such an invitation, but it’ll be an amazing set to be on. The script, I’ve said before, and you know, I said it to you, it’s extraordinary. It really is. Matt is just so brilliant, and he just cares so deeply about the stories he tells. I will go fly to London in four or five weeks. I haven’t got much to do on it, but I’ll go for four or five weeks. I’ll be there for a few weeks. I’m so excited to see it as a fan.”

As for what’s next for Farrell’s Penguin beyond The Batman Part II? Well there are still rumors that a Season 2 of The Penguin is being developed. Nothing official yet, but the Barside Buzz is hinting it’s looking like they may have some ideas brewing.
Nothing solid yet we can hang our hat on though, or if there is I’ve somehow missed it.
