Old Man Logan was introduced to us back in 2008 in Wolverine #66-72 created by Mark Millar.  Set in an alternate universe where Super Villains are in control.  Logan was tricked into killing the X-Men and as a result went in hiding vowing never to resurrect his old Wolverine persona again.  Old Man Logan is reintroduced to us during the Marvel Secret Wars Series.  After some unfortunate events Logan is led back into the life of a superhero in Earth 616 where he joins with the alternate universe of X-Men.
