Cooper J. Friedman had a lot of fun in the spy kids movie Secret Agent Dingledorf and His Trusty Dog Splat. Not only he played a young spy with a bag full of gadgets, he acted along with his friends in real life.

Based on the book series written by Bill Meyers, the first film adapts the first book of the series titled The Case of the Giggling Geeks.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Meet Bernie Dingledorf. On the surface, he seems like an average ten-year-old living an average life, however, he finds himself up against an evil genius and it is up to him to save the world. In this light-hearted comedy adventure, Secret Agent Dingledorf and His Trusty Dog Splat, Bernie and his friends must overcome one hilarious obstacle after another to stop the evil Dr. Chuckles from using his Laugh Generator to send the world into uncontrollable fits of laughter.

The film also stars Paul Johansson (One Tree Hill, The Boondock Saints II), Jason Dolley (Good Luck Charlie, Minutemen), and Ryan O’Quinn (Believe, Dad Dudes). Billy Dickson (One Tree Hill, Ally McBeal) directed the movie from an adapted script written by Bill Myers (McGee and Me!, Bamboo in Winter).

LRM Online’s Gig Patta talked with young actor Cooper J. Friedman on his role as IQ, one of the three spy kids in the film. He talked about the cast, the production, stunts, and a bag full of pretend gadgets.

Cooper J. Friedman began at the age of five, following the footsteps of his older brother Quinn Friedman. After numerous commercial work, he made his acting debut with the HBO series Togetherness with Mark Duplass and Melanie Lynskey and then with a recurring role on the Nickelodeon series Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn. Also, he appeared on other television series as Dewey in Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World, USA Network’s Colony as Hudson, and Lucas on the Showtime series Shameless. Other appearances included Criminal Minds, Scandal, Teachers, and the Amazon series Forever. Curently, he has a recurring role in the television remake series Perry Mason.

Secret Agent Dingledorf and His Trusty Dog Splat is currently available on VOD today.
