Cordelia Trailer Has Woman Succumb to Her Paranoia to a Suspicious Neighbor

In the age of anxiety, there isn’t anyone you can trust anymore. The film Cordelia is a psychological thriller that has one woman unraveling her own paranoia as she is courted by a very suspected neighbor.

The film stars Antonia Campbell-Hughes (3096 Days, Dangerous Liaisons), Johnny Flynn (Emma, Clouds of Sils Maria, Beast0, Catherine McCormack (Braveheart, Spy Game, 28 Weeks Later), Joel Fry (In The Earth, Yesterday, Cruella), and Michael Gambon (Gosford Park, Harry Potter). Adrian Shergold (Mad Dogs, Pierrepoint: The Last Hangman, Eureka Street) directed the film with the screenplay written by Shergold and Campbell-Hughes.

Here is the short synopsis of the film:

Cordelia (Antonia Campbell-Hughes), a young woman living in London, meets her mysterious and alluring neighbor Frank (Johnny Flynn) for the first time but quickly becomes suspicious of his motives. With her twin sister away for the weekend, Cordelia is left alone and overcome with paranoia. She begins to unravel and sink back into past traumas the more that Frank tries to charm his way into her life, becoming a danger to herself and others.

From the trailer below, it is hard to tell if this is simply a psychological thriller or a horror movie—or even both. With tricks playing on the mind of the lead character and audiences, it’ll be a good guessing game on what’s actually going on in this film. Nonetheless, it’ll be a film to watch for those into thrillers.

Screen Media releases the film in theaters and On Demand on Friday, May 20.
