Could Andy Serkis Direct Venom 2?

Venom made money. It made a lot of money. Its worldwide total was $856 million, but only $213 million of that came from the domestic market. Hardcore fans seemed disappointed and causual fans found it fun. Horrible people, like LRM Online’s Editor-in-Chief, found it “harmless” or so he says. No matter our opinions on it though, Sony thinks they hit a gold mine, and technically they did. The movie set up a sequel that will likely see Venom face off against the symbiote Carnage, which will be attached to Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady. Who will direct this sequel though?

Why not Supreme Leader Snoke himself, Andy Serkis? The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Serkis has sat down with Sony this week and that he is on a list with several other names in the industry. If chosen, Serkis could be working off a script from Kelly Marcel.
