Could We Be Seeing John Boyega In The MCU Soon?

John Boyega is certainly a star on the rise. He first broke onto the scene in the film Attack the Block and most recently in the Pacific Rim sequel Pacific Rim: Uprising. But most audiences will recognize him from the latest films of the Star Wars franchise. But could he be close to joining the most popular movie franchises to date?

For a few years now, Boyega has been consistently connected with rumors that he was being considered for the Marvel film Blade. But just as those rumors rise, he has consistently debunked them and even made comments that he would prefer to see Wesley Snipes return to the role. But according to Bounding Into Comics, while at Awesome Con this weekend, he did reveal that he has had meetings with Marvel about potentially taking on a Marvel superhero. But also admitted that this would be far down the line for him.

It is unknown exactly when these meetings took place. But the popular rumor is that these meetings could have been for him to join Black Panther. Either way with his roles in both Pacific Rim and Star Wars, Boyega is looking to explore other genres other than sci-fi for a while. This, for an actor on the rise, is a good idea, that way he can show studios a range of roles that he is able to play, not just sci-fi.

If in fact, Boyega would ever join the MCU, who would you like to see him play? Let us know in the comment section below!
