Crunchyroll Announces New Dubs Premiering This Month!

There’s nothing like a big wave of dubbed anime to cap off the summer. If you’ve been keeping up with your anime, you know that Crunchyroll has really delivered lately. And for those of you who do prefer dubbed anime, they have a delivery for you. Yesterday, Crunchyroll announced a healthy sum of English dubs premiering this month for many of their new Crunchyroll Original series.

I’m most excited for the dub of The God of High School. Additional dubbed anime series include Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 2, Monster Girl Doctor, and Rent-a-Girlfriend.

The God of High School

First and foremost, the main cast for The God of High School English dub will include Robbie Daymond as Mori Jin, Sean Chiplock as Daewi Han, and Veronica Taylor as Mira Yoo, and many others. For those who don’t know, Veronica Taylor is best known as the original voice of Ash Ketchum in Pokémon. I’m glad to see they chose a very seasoned cast for this one, as I expect The God of High School will jump in popularity after the dub releases. The first dubbed episodes begin airing weekly starting August 24, with new episodes every Monday.

Monster Girl Doctor

Crunchyroll also announced the dub cast for Monster Girl Doctor. Dr. Glenn Litbeit is voiced by Griffin Puatu, Saphentite “Sapphee” Neikes is voiced by Cristina Vee who was previously in both Crunchyroll Original Tower of God and In/Spectre. Julia McIlvaine voices Tisalia Scythia and Ryan Bartley voices Lulala Heine. I have yet to check this one out and have heard little about it. But, now that all these are coming out dubbed, I may just have to give it a go. Crunchyroll will launch the dub for this anime series starting August 16, with new episodes airing every Sunday.

Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World, Season 2

Subaru is voiced by Sean Chiplock who was previously mentioned as the voice of Daewi Han in The God of High School. Emilia is voiced by Kayli Mills who was previously in the Crunchyroll Original In/Spectre and Isekai Quartet 2. Rem is voiced by Brianna Knickerbocker, and Ram is voiced by Ryan Bartley who was also previously noted as the voice for Lulala Heine in Monster Girl Doctor. Beatrice is voiced by Kira Buckland with previous credits including JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and the Crunchyroll Original Tower of God. Puck is voiced by Erica Mendez with previous credits including Kill la Kill and Hunter x Hunter. Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World, Season 2 will start airing on August 26, with new episodes airing every Wednesday.

Rent-a-Girlfriend

And last but not least, the Rent-a-Girlfriend dub cast includes Kazuya voiced by Aleks Le, Chizuru voiced by Lizzie Freeman, and Mami voiced by Laura Stahl. I’m also hoping to check this one out when it premieres. A college kid uses an online app to rent a girlfriend and continues doing so to keep up appearances with his family…sounds hilarious. Crunchyroll will launch the dub for this anime series starting August 28, with new episodes airing every Friday.

Lots of dubs to keep us busy at the end of this summer. And I definitely need some shows to watch, as I’m full remote until next year. Thank you for reading anime fans, stay tuned for more big anime news to come!
