Cynthia Quiles On Being Part of Cast of Paramount+’s Why Women Kill Season Two [Exclusive Interview]

It was a dream role on a perfect television series for Cynthia Quiles. She gets to transport in time to 1949 on the set of Paramount+’s Why Women Kill with the dresses, hair, and turn-back-the-clock production set. Not to mention, she was able to work with a wonderful cast with Allison Tolman and Lana Parrilla under the series creator Marc Cherry for season two.

Most definitely, it was a dream role for Cynthia Quiles and probably will have to pinch herself.

Cynthia Quiles plays Brenda, one of the women who are part of the Elysium Park Garden Club. Under the leadership of Rita Castillo (played by Lana Parrilla), she is part of a “mean girls” society that seemingly picks on a future potential member of the garden club with Alma Fillcot (played by Allison Tolman).

Here’s the official synopsis for season two of Why Women Kill:

From the creator Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives, Devious Maids), this season of the dark comedy features a new ensemble cast and storylines set in 1949 that will explore what it means to be beautiful, the hidden truth behind the facades people present to the world, the effects of being ignored and overlooked by society, and finally, the lengths one woman will go in order to finally belong…

The second season also stars Nick Frost, B.K. Cannon, Joradane Christie, Matthew Daddario, and Veronica Falcon.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with the wonderful actress Cynthia Quiles on her experiences on set, playing the character, and interacting with other cast members. We talked about the show, and possibly on what to look forward to as the season progresses.

Cynthia Quiles recurs as socialite Brenda throughout the season season of Why Women Kill. She gained attention and fans for her appearance as news anchor Ana in Ted Danson’s comedy Mr. Mayor. Previously, she was the cancer research lab assistant Monica in the ABC action-drama Station 19. Other shows she made appearances included All Rise, Jane the Virgin, and Confess. Also, Quiles appeared in the horror-thriller Phoenix Forgotten, which was executive produced by Ridley Scott, and appeared opposite to Dean Cain in the action indie State of Ward.
