‘DADDY’S HOME’ Sequel in the Works

If you were one of the $240 million worth of audience members to see last year’s DADDY’S HOME — and you enjoyed the flick — then you’re in luck, as it looks like Paramount is set to make a sequel to the successful comedy. According to Deadline, both Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg have signed on to reprise their roles as Brad Whitaker and Dusty Mayron, respectively.

But the leading star talent are the only ones returning for this sequel. Also heading back for a second helping are co-writers John Morris and Sean Anders, the latter of whom will also be returning to the director’s chair.

Given the premise of the first film, it’s hard to imagine the writers would be able to repeat the same formula. As such, one has to wonder where they’ll take things in the next film. Unfortunately for us, the logline and premise of the film are currently under wraps, so we don’t have answers as of yet. There is also no word if anyone outside of Ferrell and Wahlberg will be returning to the franchise.

What do you think of the idea of a sequel to DADDY’S HOME, and where do you think the story could go? Let us know your thoughts down below!
