Damon Lindelof Rumored For Star Wars Movie | Barside Buzz

The Latest Barside Buzz is that Damon Lindelof has left the Star Wars movie he was developing.

Damon Lindelof rumored for Star Wars! According to Jeff Sneider, formerly of Collider, the Watchmen showrunner has been tapped by Lucasfilm for a new Star Wars movie. Sneider says Lindelof is currently working on this unnamed and undated movie. Check it out below.

There are currently only three Star Wars movies dated, Rogue Squadron in December ’23 seems like it may slip later. There are also movies dated for December ’25 and ’27 respectively. Until now, most in the industry and fans worldwide assumed these two movies were Taika Waititi’s movie in ’25 and Kevin Feige’s movie in ’27. Obviously we will have to wait and see if this rumor checks out as for me that’s just one source right now. If other insiders I trust more come out with the same information then who knows?

Frankly, I think it’s a great idea. I wasn’t a fan of Lindelof’s movie Prometheus, but in the TV world Lindelof has made some great shows. I’m a big fan of LOST (no they weren’t all dead, stop saying that, you just didn’t get it), I thought The Leftovers was pretty decent, and I was also a huge fan of the recent Watchmen show. For me Lindelof and not Abrams was always the real talent on any of their collaborations. Then, we all know I am not a fan of anything Abrams has done outside of Fringe.

As for what this movie could be, when it could be planned for? We have zero idea and an until more information comes out, it’s all speculation. This is Star Wars so a Lindelof movie could literally go anywhere from a thousand years in the past to a thousand years in the future.

What do you think of Damon Lindelof rumored for Star Wars? What would be your hope for a Lindelof Star Wars movie? Comments below as always.
